Privacy Policy of the “Wobbi” app

Last updated: 7 November 2026 (added: partner connection via friend code; on 31 October: Wobbi Plus subscription, Google sign-in, account deletion in Wobbi) · Deutsche Fassung (in case of doubt, the German version prevails)

2. What this is about

In “Wobbi” you hatch a small fantasy creature and look after it by ticking off your own habits and playing mini-games. The app is a game. It makes no health claims and does not replace medical or therapeutic advice. We do not use any analytics tools. Ads only appear as voluntary reward videos (see section 9).

3. Without an account: everything stays on your device

You can use Wobbi without signing in. Your game progress (species and name of your creature, values such as fullness or mood, clothes, habits, stars, mini-game high scores) and the chosen language are then stored only on your device and are not transmitted to us. Exceptions are voluntary purchases (section 10) and video ads (section 9). If you delete the app, this data is gone.

4. Optional: sign in with your Duo Lists account

Wobbi belongs to our app “Duo Lists”. If you like, you sign in with “Sign in with Apple” or “Sign in with Google” (on Android). This uses the same account as in Duo Lists; if you don’t have one yet, it is created. We receive an identifier of your account and, depending on the provider and your settings, your email address (with Apple possibly an anonymous relay address) and your first name, which we store as your display name. We do not store a password. The privacy policies of Apple and Google also apply to the sign-in.

With an account, we store on our server:

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the app).

5. Together with your partner

If you are connected with your partner in Duo Lists, Wobbi picks up this connection automatically. Connecting only happens in Duo Lists, not in Wobbi.

Access is technically restricted to your couple on the server. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. What Wobbi reads from Duo Lists

With an account, Wobbi reads your profile from Duo Lists (display name and who you are connected with) and your partner’s display name. So that completed entries in Duo Lists earn stars, Wobbi also reads when you completed entries yourself – only the time, not the content of the entries. Wobbi does not change anything in Duo Lists. For Duo Lists, the Duo Lists privacy policy applies.

6a. Friends

With an account you can add friends using a friend code or an invite link. Your friends can see your display name and the name, species and growth stage of your pet. They do not see your habits or stats. If you send a friend a gift (stars or food), we store who sent what to whom until it is collected. For accepted invitations we store who invited whom so that the reward is only given once. You can remove friends at any time. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Partner connection: Two Wobbi accounts that are friends can connect as partners to raise a shared pet. For this we store who asked whom and when the request was accepted. As before, your partner only sees your pet and its high scores – not your habits, notes or stars. You can end the connection at any time under Friends → “Disconnect”; the shared pet is deleted. A Duo Lists account is not required. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

7. Hosting (Supabase)

Accounts and the data from sections 4, 5 and 6a are stored with Supabase (Supabase, Inc., USA) as a processor – in the same project as Duo Lists. The servers are located in Frankfurt am Main (EU). As Supabase is a US company, access from the USA cannot be ruled out; it takes place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: supabase.com/privacy.

8. App updates (Expo)

The app downloads small updates directly when it starts, using the EAS Update service of Expo (650 Industries, Inc., USA). Technically necessary information is transmitted, such as your IP address, the app version and the platform. No content from your game is transmitted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a working, up-to-date app). More information: expo.dev/privacy.

9. Advertising (Google AdMob)

In the star shop you can voluntarily watch a short video ad and get +25 stars for it (at most 5 videos per day). Ads only run when you tap “Watch a video” yourself. There are no banners and no forced ads. The videos are provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google processes device and usage data, such as your IP address, device type, operating system, your interactions with the ads, your device’s advertising ID (IDFA) and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google uses this data to deliver ads, limit how often they are shown, prevent fraud and measure results – and, if you consent, for personalised ads.

More information: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

10. In-app purchases and the “Wobbi Plus” subscription (RevenueCat)

In the star shop you can buy star packs. There is also the “Wobbi Plus” subscription (Plus clothes and furniture, unlimited habits, more journeys): monthly (product “wobbi_plus_monthly”, €2.99) or yearly (product “wobbi_plus_annual”, €19.99, the first 7 days free). The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it – on iPhone in your Apple Account settings under “Subscriptions”, on Android in Google Play under “Payments & subscriptions”. Payment is made via your Apple Account in the App Store or your Google account on Google Play (Google Play Billing); Apple or Google handles the payment. We do not receive payment details such as credit card numbers. Apple’s privacy policy or Google’s privacy policy also applies.

To manage purchases and the subscription and to validate receipts, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., 1032 E Brandon Blvd #3003, Brandon, FL 33511, USA) as a processor. The following is processed: a random app user ID (anonymous, not linked to your Duo Lists account), purchase and transaction data (product, price, currency, date, transaction ID), for Wobbi Plus the subscription status (active or expired, expiry date), device and operating system information, your IP address and the country of your App Store or Google Play account.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (completing the purchase or subscription, crediting the stars and unlocking the Plus features) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in preventing fraud and handling refunds). The data is processed in the USA on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: revenuecat.com/privacy.

11. Transfers to third countries

Supabase, Expo (650 Industries, Inc.), Google LLC and RevenueCat, Inc. are based in the USA or belong to US companies. Transfers take place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Storage period and deletion

We store your data as long as you use your account. In the app you can delete your creature, stars, clothes, habits and high scores at any time under “Settings → Delete Wobbi data” – on the device and on the server. Your shared creature and your account remain. You delete your whole account in Wobbi under “Settings → Duo Lists account → Delete account” or in the “Duo Lists” app under “Settings → Delete account”; this also deletes your own Wobbi data on the server. The shared creature and games for two remain available to your partner as long as your couple exists in Duo Lists; if no partner remains, they are deleted together with your couple. You can also request deletion by email to the address above. Without an account, you delete all data on the device by deleting the app. Purchase and transaction data are kept as long as necessary to process the purchase and as required by statutory (in particular tax) retention obligations.

13. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Please contact the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in Austria the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at).

14. Age

The app is intended for people aged 13 and over.

15. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the app or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
